About Us
Monmouth has been twinned with Waldbronn in the Baden-Württemberg, region of Germany since 1986.
Monmouth Twinning members enjoy German culture and the opportunity to learn more about how our friends across the channel live.
Many of us speak no German and that’s not a barrier to enjoying the opportunities that Town Twinning brings!
The Beginning
Monmouth residents have been ‘exchanging’ with our Twin Town, Waldbronn, since 1986.
Monmouth and Waldbronn residents have taken part in joint concerts, sporting competitions, visits and meetings.
Many lifelong friendships have been forged.
Future plans
After the very successful visit to Monmouth in May 2024, the Waldbronn Twinning Club have invited Monmouth to visit Waldbronn in June 2025.
During the winter months the Monmouth Club members will engage themselves in social events such as coffee mornings and skittles evening.
